The to do list...

Aeromodeller Sporty Biplane

A couple of years ago I built the reduced scale Sporty from the Aeromodeller and powered it with a Gasparin GM120. The model is an amazing flyer and looks great.  So what I really want is a full size one.  As usual I started this project by sourcing an engine.  In fact I got two, an AM15 and an AM10, and restored one myself.  I got Dave Causer to do the 10 as it was more of a basket case: its now a real gem.

So when the scale project treadmill allows I'll get on with this..

Guillows Spirit of Saint Louis

Some time ago both Barbara and I read the Scott Berg biography of Lindbergh.  As a surprise Barbara bought me the Guillows Spirit kit.  An amazing piece of Americana and one which will form the basis of a model at some point.  As kitscale is no longer an option for me, it can be reworked to a sensible degree.

At the same time I also managed to source a copy of "We" on ebay, but its too fragile to read.

Keil Kraft Orion

To quote Lionel Lawley "you really do like all the old rubbish". The Orion probably falls into that category, but I do want to build one.

Keil Kraft Soarer Baby

I think this was the model that the Lawley quote actually referred to - but I built one when I was a kid and want to do another one.  I picked up a kit on ebay the other day

Dick Twomey Snark

Since "Andys Do" the Snark is in danger of jumping to the top of the to do list.  And isn't Port Meadow just the place for a Snark?

It appears on close inspection that the model that has inspired the Snark build isn't a Snark… possibly a Boojum...
